Sensible filmmaker Deva Katta is presenting Jo Jo, directed by Kiran Jay Kumar and produced by Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni under the Vijayam banner. The makers have unveiled a glimpse of the film, taking audiences to the drought-hit diamond fields of Jonnagiri, where the possibility of finding a fortune draws an unlikely group of people into an unconventional adventure.

The teaser introduces a raw and rustic world where the search for diamonds becomes a journey filled with romance, ambition and irreverent comedy. A group of people arrives in Jonnagiri, hoping that the rains have left behind some valuable stones. What follows is a chaotic hunt, with ordinary stones mistaken for potential riches and one man trying his luck at flirting.

The group eventually finds a few stones and hands them over to a person for testing, only to be told that they are ordinary stones. These moments add a comic touch to the teaser, which captures the hopes and desperation of people dreaming of striking it rich.

At the heart of Jo Jo are two penniless dreamers and a fearless young woman chasing the possibility of finding a life-changing diamond. Their quest soon gets entangled with romance, greed, betrayal, danger and comic misadventures. The teaser offers an early glimpse of the film’s distinctive setting and humour, while further details about its release are expected to be announced later.

Interestingly, director Kiran Jay Kumar, Deva Katta and Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni previously worked together on Mayasabha: Rise of the Titans. Krishna Kamal and Maahi Sri play the lead roles in Jo Jo, and both appear in rustic avatars in the teaser.

The ensemble cast includes Phanindra Devarapalli, Prabhavathi, Mahaboob Basha, Satish Devatte Tanjore, Puduru Sharath Babu and Makarand Deshpande.

The technical team comprises Rohith Kumar as the director of photography, Mahesh Shankar as the music director and Madhav Kumar Gullapalli as the editor. Rehman, Srinivas Mouli and Ramachandra have penned the lyrics.
