Devi Sri Prasad revisits his roots for Yellamma

Devi Sri Prasad stars and composes music for Yellamma, which is directed by Venu Yeldandi, and produced by Dil Raju

Four months after Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) was announced to make his acting debut with Yellamma, a glimpse at the inspiration for the film was unveiled on Tuesday. The upcoming film, is the first project as a lead actor for Devi Sri Prasad.

In the video DSP takes the viewers on a journey through his ancestral village of Vedarupaka, Andhra Pradesh. DSP reveals that the culture that is imbibed with the village, which is his father's birthplace, served as an inspiration for working on Yellamma.

Director Venu Yedalandi, has previously acted in the 2023 film Balagam, which was his directorial debut, is directing Yellamma. Shirish is producing under his Sri Venkateshwara Creations banner, with Dil Raju presenting the film. DSP is also composing music for Yellamma.

Apart from Yellamma, DSP also composing music for Singeetam Srinivasa Rao's upcoming film, Sing Geetham. The music composer's latest release was the Pawan Kalyan-starrer Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
