Director Venkatesh Maha is coming up with a film titled Rao Bahadur, with Satya Dev playing the lead role and Deepa Thomas as the female lead. Earlier, Venkatesh Maha and Satya Dev worked together on Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, and Rao Bahadur marks their second collaboration.

The film is a period horror-comedy, and one of the major highlights is that GMB Entertainment, owned by superstar Mahesh Babu, is presenting the project.

Known for his distinctive cinematic style, Venkatesh Maha has not only directed the film but also written and edited it. The movie is being produced by Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy, Anurag Reddy, and Sharath Chandra under the A+S Movies and SriChakraas Entertainments banners.

The makers recently unveiled a BTS glimpse titled Into The World Of Rao Bahadur, offering a fascinating look into the grand scale of the production. The video showcases the extensive pre-production work, intricate prosthetic makeup process, and elaborate filming schedules that have gone into making the film. It also hints at a visually rich and character-driven theatrical experience.

The major highlight of the footage is Satya Dev’s remarkable physical transformation. The video captures the actor arriving on set and heading straight into his vanity van for an elaborate makeup and styling session. To portray an aged and regal character, a team of technicians carefully applies a bald cap, specialised prosthetics, and attaches a long grey-haired wig along with a thick beard and a curled handlebar moustache.

Apart from Satya Dev and Deepa Thomas, the film also features Vikas Muppala, Bala Parasar, Anand Bharathi, Pranay Vaka, and Master Kiran in key roles.

On the technical front, cinematography is handled by Kartik Parmar, while Smaran Sai is composing the music.

Rao Bahadur is scheduled to hit theatres on July 3.
