On the occasion of Nagarjuna Akkineni completing 40 years as an actor, the makers of Lenin unveiled the film’s teaser. Akhil Akkineni plays the lead role, while Bhagyashri Borse stars as the female lead. The film is being produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banners of Manam Enterprises LLP and Sithara Entertainments, while Annapurna Studios is presenting the project.

The teaser begins with Bhagyashri Borse performing in a stage play as the mythological character Duryodhana, while the famous dialogue of N T Rama Rao from Daana Veera Soora Karna plays in the background. The teaser then shifts focus to the chemistry between Akhil and Bhagyashri. Akhil appears completely transformed for the role, and the makeover is clearly visible throughout the teaser.

Compared to his earlier films, Akhil seems to have put in considerable effort for Lenin. One of the major highlights is his dialogue delivery in the Chittoor accent, which adds authenticity to his character. S Thaman’s background score also works effectively in the teaser and raises expectations for the film, which is slated for release on June 26.

Actor Sivaji plays Akhil’s father in the film, and the father-son relationship appears to be one of the emotional highlights. Though Lenin is billed as an action entertainer, the teaser mainly focuses on entertainment and the chemistry between the lead pair.

The teaser’s final shot hints that Akhil’s character is on a mission to hunt down the antagonist. After a long gap, Akhil is returning with Lenin, and the actor is in need of a solid commercial success. The teaser certainly creates hope that this film could become an important turning point in his career.

The film is directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, who has also written the story. He earlier directed Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, starring Kiran Abbavaram. Lenin marks his second directorial venture, and according to industry sources, the makers are confident about the film’s commercial prospects.
