Actor Sudheer, popularly known as Sudigali Sudheer, continues to balance his career between television and films with multiple projects in hand. On Tuesday, marking the actor’s birthday, the makers of his upcoming film Hai Lesso unveiled a striking new poster offering a new look at his character from the film.
The film marks the directorial debut of Prasanna Kumar Kota and is also the maiden production venture of Siva Cherry and Ravikiran under the banner Vajra Varahi Cinemas.
Hai Lesso will be Sudheer’s fifth film as a lead actor. Adding further intrigue to the project is the presence of Sivaji, who is playing a negative role in the film. After making a successful comeback with Court, Sivaji’s antagonist role in this film is expected to add intensity to the narrative.
The newly released birthday poster presents Sudheer in a completely rugged and raw avatar. Holding a massive ritual sword decorated with bells and stained with blood, the actor appears fierce and mysterious, with part of his face concealed. Set against the backdrop of a temple festival, the poster also features a haunting line-up of traditional performers carrying machetes, creating a visually powerful contrast between devotion and violence.
The makers have attempted to blend divine mysticism with gritty action, and the poster leaves a strong visual impression while hinting at a darker, intense storyline.
The team revealed that they have already completed a major 25-day shooting schedule in Hyderabad, where several key talkie portions were filmed. The schedule also included colourful Jathara sequences and a song shoot. The makers are now preparing for an extensive 40-day schedule in Eluru, after which the entire shoot is expected to be wrapped up.
Natasha Singh and Naksha Saran are playing the female leads in the film. Kannada actor Akshara Gowda is also playing an important supporting role.
The supporting cast includes Naan Kadavul-fame Rajendran, Getup Srinu, and Saranya in key roles. Music for the film is being composed by Anudeep Dev, while cinematography is handled by Sujatha Siddarth.
The makers are planning to release Hai Lesso in theatres by the end of this year. The film is being designed as a multilingual project and will release across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
