Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor are playing the lead roles in the upcoming film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. It was initially scheduled to release on April 30, but was later postponed to June. A few days ago, director Buchi Babu Sana, while attending Dhanush’s Kara film event, announced that the film would release on June 25.

However, there has been a new development. Yash’s Toxic, which was slated to hit theatres on June 4, has now been postponed indefinitely, as the makers are planning to release it on a later date.

With Toxic vacating the June 4 slot, the makers of Peddi have decided to advance their release to that date. On Friday, producer Venkata Satish Kilaru, director Buchi Babu Sana, and filmmaker Sukumar — who is also associated with the project — met the media to officially announce the new release date.

The film is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, while Mythri Movie Makers, along with Sukumar Writings, is presenting it.

Recently, the team completed filming a special song featuring Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan. Post-production work is currently in full swing, and the shoot is almost complete, with only minor patchwork remaining.

Apart from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film features prominent actors such as Shivarajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Divyendu, and Boman Irani. Cinematography is handled by Ratnavelu, while music is composed by AR Rahman.
