Akshaye Khanna is playing a pivotal role in the upcoming film Mahakali, which is being supervised by Prasanth Varma of Hanu-Man fame. On the occasion of Akshaye Khanna’s birthday, Prasanth Varma unveiled a new still from the sets and shared an exciting update about the film. Akshaye Khanna has wrapped filming for his crucial role as Shukracharya, one of the key characters in the film.

Produced by RK Duggal and Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under the banner of RKD Studios, the film is being supervised by Prasanth Varma as showrunner, while Puja Kolluru is directing it. Mahakali is emerging as one of the most ambitious films in the expanding Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.

The makers have completed nearly 100 days of shooting, and the final 40-day schedule has now begun in Hyderabad. Akshaye’s portrayal of Shukracharya has already generated huge interest among audiences. His first look as the mythological character received an overwhelming response when it was unveiled last year, making his Telugu debut one of the most talked-about aspects of the film. The film stars Bhoomi Shetty in the titular role. Her first-look poster presented her in a fierce and divine avatar, adding to the anticipation surrounding the project.

With multi-studio VFX work progressing simultaneously, the makers are preparing for a release date announcement soon. Music for the film is composed by Smaran Sai, cinematography is by Suresh Ragutu, and production design is handled by Sri Nagendra Tangala.

Mahakali is being designed as a grand visual and spiritual experience, and Akshaye Khanna completing his portions has only increased the excitement around the film.
