Adivi Sesh has stepped up promotions for his upcoming film Dacoit, in which Mrunal Thakur plays the female lead and Anurag Kashyap appears in an important role. Directed by Shaniel Deo and produced by Supriya Yarlagadda along with Sunil Narang, the film's makers have now unveiled its second single, 'Chicchubuddi'.
The track is sung by Ram Miriyala and Jonita Gandhi, while the music has been composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. Jonita Gandhi also appears in the song video. Known for his intense performances and strong choice of roles, Adivi Sesh is coming up with this pan-India action-romantic thriller, which is scheduled to release on April 10.
While the initial promos and the first single 'Rubaroo' introduced a rugged and emotionally wounded side of his character, 'Chicchubuddi' reveals a completely different dimension. The new song presents Adivi Sesh in a lively, energetic avatar and marks the first time he has danced onscreen in his career.
Music director Bheems Ceciroleo, who earlier composed a rustic and soulful melody for the film, now switches gears with a high-energy, folk-based party number filled with lively beats. The lyrics, penned by Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar, add a playful and youthful flavour that perfectly complements the colourful visuals.
Jonita Gandhi not only lends her voice to the track but also appears onscreen, adding glamour and energy with her dance moves. Meanwhile, Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh’s special appearance brings a mass appeal to the song.
Shot on a grand set with a huge crowd and vibrant choreography, 'Chicchubuddi' comes across as a full-fledged celebration. The song also hints that Dacoit is not just an action film, but a layered story filled with love, betrayal, anger and emotional conflicts, along with colourful festive moments.
Dacoit marks the directorial debut of Shaniel Deo. The film has cinematography by Danush Bhaskar and background score by Gyaani.
