Arjun Sarja's latest directorial Seetha Payanam is all set to premiere on OTT, a month after its release in theatres. A romantic drama, the film starred Aishwarya Arjun and Niranjan Sudhindra in lead roles. Released in theatres during Valentine's Day on February 14, the film was also dubbed in Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam. Besides directing, he also backed the film under the banner of Sree Raam Films International.

The plot follows Seetha (Aishwarya), who grows up without her mother and is lovingly raised by her father, Rajendra Prasad (Sathyaraj), who becomes her entire world. Despite their deep bond, Seetha consistently steers clear of conversations about marriage. Her life takes a turn when she travels from Vizag to Hyderabad for work and meets Abhi (Niranjan) along the way. What begins as a routine journey soon unfolds into a series of unexpected events that alter her path. As the story progresses, will Seetha choose to embrace marriage or continue to resist it? The film is set to release on SunNXT OTT platform on March 19.

Upon release, the film was met with mixed reviews. An excerpt from our CE review of the film read, "While an old idea can still work if presented with strong emotions and engaging storytelling, Seetha Payanam suffers from outdated narration and a complete lack of freshness. The idea itself is decent, but the execution is weak and the emotional depth—crucial for such a story—is largely missing."

Besides penning the story and screenplay for the film, Arjun is also playing a prominent role in the film. Dhruva Sarja and Prakash Raj are also part of the primary cast.

Seetha Payanam marked the return of music composer Anup Rubens after a considerable hiatus. Sai Madhav Burra penned the dialogues. Cinematography is by G Balamurugan, and editing is by Ayub Khan. Notable lyricists like Kasarla Shyam and Chandrabose have penned lyrics for the film.
