Chiranjeevi's return to theatres after a while was with Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film features Nayanthara as the female lead. It is produced by Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmitha Konidela along with Sahu Garapati.
The film has not only performed exceptionally at the box office but has also achieved a rare milestone in today’s cinema landscape — completing a 50-day run in 109 centres.
Even after its premiere on ZEE5, it continued to attract strong footfalls across the Telugu states. In fact, it has reportedly emerged as one of the biggest performers on the platform, trending at No 1 across multiple languages.
The film has also set several box-office benchmarks. It is said to be the biggest regional grosser of the year and marks the first ₹400 crore blockbuster for both Chiranjeevi and director Anil Ravipudi. In North America, it grossed close to $3.5 million, underlining its global appeal. Additionally, the film sold over 3.8 million tickets on BookMyShow, one of the highest figures for a regional film.
