Allari Naresh is one actor who has been looking for a strong commercial comeback for the last few years. Though he explored different genres and attempted various kinds of roles, the actor could not achieve the expected success. Now, he is returning to his popular comedy zone with his upcoming film Rambha Urvasi Menaka, directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada. The film is jointly produced by Nimmakayala Prasad and Razesh Danda under the banners of Hasya Movies and Annapurna Studios.
The makers officially announced that Rambha Urvasi Menaka will hit the screens on September 4. The film is touted to be a socio-fantasy entertainer, a genre Allari Naresh earlier explored with Yamudiki Mogudu (2012). Similar to that film, this movie also combines comedy with fantasy elements, promising a fun-filled experience for audiences.
Allari Naresh’s recent successful outing was Naa Saami Ranga (2024), a multi-starrer featuring Nagarjuna in the lead role, with Naresh and Raj Tarun playing key roles. Before that, the actor attempted different genres with films like Aa Okkati Adakku, Bachchala Malli and 12A Railway Colony, but they failed to make a strong impact at the box office.
With Rambha Urvasi Menaka, Naresh is returning to the comedy genre that made him popular among audiences. Interestingly, producer Razesh Danda is also associated with his earlier film Bachchala Malli.
On the occasion of Allari Naresh’s birthday on Tuesday, the makers unveiled a new poster announcing the release date. This film marks Allari Naresh’s 65th project and the first look was also released on the same occasion.
The film also marks the first collaboration between Annapurna Studios and Hasya Movies. The two production houses are bringing Allari Naresh back into the fantasy space after 14 years, following the success of Yamudiki Mogudu.
The makers have chosen the tagline “Comedy Goes Cosmic”, indicating that comedy remains the core element of the film with a unique fantasy backdrop. Along with Allari Naresh, the film features a strong comedy ensemble including Vennela Kishore, Naresh VK, Srinivas Reddy and Muralidhar Goud. The makers are yet to reveal the actors playing the title roles of Rambha, Urvasi and Menaka.
