Satya Dev is playing the lead role in the upcoming film Rao Bahadur, directed by Venkatesh Maha. The film is set to hit the screens on July 3 and is produced by Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy, Anurag Reddy, and Sarath Chandra. Interestingly, Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainments is presenting the film.

On Thursday, superstar Mahesh Babu shared his thoughts about the film on social media. Mahesh praised lead actor Satya Dev, director Venkatesh Maha, and female lead Deepa Thomas. He said that the film is not just one that grabs attention but one that stays with the audience.

Rao Bahadur… It isn’t just a film that grabs you by the collar but one that gets under your skin!!! Strange, beautiful & intensely dramatic. Venkatesh Maha builds a stunning world... Satya Dev takes over that world like only he can,” said Mahesh Babu.

He further added that the cast and technical team played a major role in bringing the film to life. “Deepa Thomas shines with a beautifully nuanced performance. The terrific cast and outstanding technical team have supported the film brilliantly. Extremely proud of the entire team. Can’t wait for you all to witness Rao Bahadur and his madness on the big screens from July 3,” said Mahesh Babu.

Not just Mahesh Babu, lead actor Satya Dev also spoke highly about the film. During promotions, he compared Rao Bahadur with films like Baahubali and RRR. He said that people across the country often talk about Baahubali and RRR, and after the release of Rao Bahadur, audiences will also discuss this film.

The film is a period drama in which Satya Dev plays the titular role. It also has elements of horror comedy. Satya Dev underwent extensive makeup sessions to portray the character of Rao Bahadur.

Talking about the film, producer Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy said that Satya Dev was chosen as the lead actor right from the beginning. He said that Satya Dev and director Venkatesh Maha’s thoughts and vision matched wonderfully for the film. He also revealed that Satya Dev spent nearly five hours every day for his makeup, which is not a small effort. The producer added that the film was shot for more than 90 days.
