"Our lives are spent seeking shelter under trees when it rains. If you play games with lives like ours, why would we spare you?" This opening voiceover from Vijay Sethupathi is a threat to the goons that are shown to terrorise the group of street-dwellers, of which the actor's character is a part of. While the plot details are kept under wraps, the film hints at Vijay Sethupathi's actions irking the authorities.

The cast of the film also includes Tabu, Samyuktha Duniya Vijay Kumar, Zarina Wahab, VTV Ganesh, and Brahmaji, among others.

Harshavardhan Rameshwar, who won a National Award for his work in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, is on board as the film's music composer. The crew of the film also includes director of photography Sam K Naidu, editor Santosh Noozilla, and art directors Ashish Teja and Jonny Shaik.

Slum Dog is distributed by director Puri and Charmme Kaur under the Puri Connects banner, along with JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla who produces the film under the JB Motion Pictures banner.
