Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Bobby Kolli have reunited for the second time following the blockbuster success of Waltair Veerayya. Tentatively titled Mega158, the film is currently being shot in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu.

Initially, the makers had signed Malayalam actress Honey Rose for a key role in the film. However, reports suggest that she has opted out of the project due to scheduling conflicts and prior commitments.

According to the latest reports, Kannada actress Rachita Ram has been brought on board as her replacement. She is expected to join the team in Pollachi soon. Rachita is a popular name in Kannada cinema and her inclusion has added to the excitement surrounding the project.

The film is being produced by K Venkata Narayana under the KVN Productions banner, marking the production house's debut in Telugu cinema.

The makers have already officially announced Anaswara Rajan as part of the cast. Reports suggest that she will be seen as Chiranjeevi's daughter in the film, while Priyamani is also playing an important role. With Rachita Ram now joining the cast, it will be interesting to see how director Bobby Kolli has shaped these characters in the story.

Reports further indicate that Nivetha Pethuraj has also been roped in for another significant role. Chiranjeevi is currently busy shooting for the film, which the makers are planning to release during the Sankranthi 2027 season.

It may be recalled that Chiranjeevi's recent film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad, directed by Anil Ravipudi, was released during Sankranthi and emerged as a major blockbuster. Hoping to replicate that success, the makers of Mega158 are targeting the festive holiday season for its release.

With production progressing at a brisk pace, the team is aiming to complete the film on schedule and bring it to audiences during Sankranthi 2027.
