Directed by Ravi Namburi and produced by SKN and Sai Rajesh, who also wrote the story, the romantic drama stars Kiran Abbavaram opposite Sri Gouri Priya.
Released on Friday, Chennai Love Story has opened to positive word of mouth and is performing well at the box office. The film has particularly earned appreciation for Sri Gouri Priya's emotionally charged performance, with many viewers calling her the soul of the film.
At the film's success meet held on Saturday, Sri Gouri Priya turned emotional. The actress, who lost her mother nearly three years ago, said she wished her mother had been there to witness this special moment. "I wish my mother were here, but I believe she is watching over me. My father is extremely happy with this success. Whether it is in single screens or multiplexes, audiences are reacting the same way. Youngsters, families and senior citizens are all enjoying the film. Seeing every age group of people in theatres has been heartwarming. Good cinema truly brings everyone together," she said.

Sri Gouri Priya also credited her co-star Kiran Abbavaram for helping her deliver one of the best performances of her career.
