Actor Ram Charan admitted for surgery in Coimbatore

Actor Ram Charan has been admitted to a hospital in Coimbatore for a surgical procedure, in connection to injuries sustained during the shoot of Peddi

Actor Ram Charan has been admitted to the Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore on Sunday for a wrist surgery.

Hospital sources confirmed that he arrived at the hospital on Sunday evening along with his father Chiranjeevi, mother Surekha, wife Upasana Konidela, and other family members. The hospital management received them, and the surgery is scheduled for Monday. The sources from the hospital said that Ram Charan sustained an injury during the shooting of his recent film Peddi.

However, the hospital management did not reveal the specific details about the surgery.

Earlier, the actor was reported to have been injured in the forehead while shooting for an action sequence.

Peddi is a sports drama film, which features Ram Charan as the titular character who plays cricket, and is a wrestler and a track athelete. The cast of the film includes Shivarajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani, among others. AR Rahman composed music for Peddi.
