Manchu Manoj is set to return to the big screen in the titular role of David Reddy. The film marks the directorial debut of Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti and is produced by Nallagangula Venkat Reddy and Bharat Motukuri.
Set against the backdrop of the British era, David Reddy is mounted as a large-scale pan-India action drama. The story unfolds between 1897 and 1920, during British colonial rule, with Manoj playing a fierce warrior who rises against the oppressive regime.
Actor Maria Ryaboshapka stars as the female lead. The film is being made simultaneously in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
On the occasion of Republic Day, the makers released two striking first-look posters titled ‘Ruthless’ and ‘Brutal’. In both, Manchu Manoj sports intense avatars, hinting at the film’s action-heavy narrative.
