After being in the making for the past few years, Nikhil Siddhartha’s Swayambhu has finally locked its release date. Directed by Bharath Krishnamachari, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on April 10, the makers officially announced.

The film was initially scheduled for release on February 13, but the makers have now announced a new release date of April 10. The postponement of the film's release is due to additional time required for post production work, including VFX.

The film features Smyuktha and Nabha Natesh as the female leads. Set against a historical fantasy backdrop, Swayambhu will see Nikhil in the role of a legendary warrior and king. For the role, the actor underwent a complete physical transformation.

Presented by Tagore Madhu and produced by Bhuvan and Srikar, Swayambhu is touted to be the film with the highest budget in Nikhil’s career. Given the scale of the project, the makers have invested heavily in VFX, with top companies working to deliver high-quality visuals. Senthil Kumar is handling the cinematography, while Ravi Basrur, known for KGF and Salaar, is composing the music.
