Though widely known for his action-packed roles, Prabhas surprised many by revealing that his all-time favourite film is not an action entertainer, but the classic romantic drama Geethanjali, directed by master filmmaker Mani Ratnam.

“People often ask me why I do so many action films when I like love stories,” Prabhas said. “I always tell them that Geethanjali is my all-time favourite film.”

The actor shared this while interacting with the team of Couple Friendly, a film that recently caught his attention. “When I watched Couple Friendly, I got the same kind of emotional feeling that Geethanjali gave me. The climax is very touching, and the last 20 minutes are simply outstanding,” he added. Prabhas also reiterated that Mani Ratnam remains his favourite director.

Couple Friendly is produced under Prabhas’ home banner, UV Creations. The film stars Santosh Soban and Manasa Varanasi as the lead pair and is directed by Ashwin Chandrasekar.

The film has been receiving positive feedback from critics and audiences alike. Prabhas personally called the lead actors, director, and producer Ajay Varma to congratulate them and enquired in detail about the making of the film.

Interestingly, the actor showed keen interest in the shooting process and asked about the challenges faced while filming in live locations in Chennai. He also discussed the struggles involved in managing real locations and appreciated the team’s efforts in bringing authenticity to the screen.
