Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, known for her projects across Telugu and Tamil cinema, is set to add another milestone to her career by making her directorial debut with Saraswathi. She is also producing the film along with her sister, Pooja Sarathkumar. The first look of Varalaxmi from the film was unveiled by Samantha Ruth Prabhu on social media.

The film has already wrapped up shooting and is currently in the post-production stage. With work progressing steadily, Varalakshmi has now kick-started promotions, beginning with the release of her first-look poster.

Saraswathi boasts an ensemble cast featuring actors Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Nassar, Priyamani, and Radikaa Sarathkumar in key roles. According to sources, the film is a court drama with a strong social and thought-provoking narrative.

After essaying several impactful characters on screen, this marks the first time Varalaxmi has taken charge behind the camera. She also plays the central role in the film, making Saraswathi a powerful female-centric story that revolves around her character.

The makers are planning a bilingual release in Telugu and Tamil. The official release date is expected to be announced in the coming days.
