Sandeep Saroj of Committee Kurrollu fame is playing the lead in the upcoming film Veta, which was launched on Monday at Ramanaidu studio. Satwika Jampa is playing the female lead in the film, with Tamil actor and director KS Ravikumar playing a key role. The film is produced by Phani Adapaka and Jayalakshmi through their Shree Radha Damodar Studios along with ETV Win Original. The title poster of the film is also unveiled on this occasion. Ashok Kotipalli is making his debut as director with this film.

Speaking at the Veta launch event, KS Ravikumar said that director Ashok Kotipalli narrated the story to him on WhatsApp. “Fifteen days back, he narrated the story and the director explained to me the characters, scenes and dialogues with expressions and emotion while narrating the story,” said KS Ravikumar. The actor-director added that the narration made such an impression that even his wife, who happened to see part of it, asked him whether he had agreed to do the film. “Then I told her that I will do the film, so, I came to this film launch along with my wife,” said Ravikumar and wished the entire team a great success. Talking about the character, he said he couldn’t reveal much. “But it is like a Pedarayudu type of role in that village,” said Ravi Kumar.

He further added that there are a lot of good dialogues in the film for him. “I would speak good Telugu after this film, because the director has written so many dialogues for me,” he said.

Producer Phani Adapaka said that Veta is his third production. “My gratitude to Niharika Konidela, as I associated with Committee Kurrollu and we won the National Award. I should thank her for her support and encouragement in my journey,” said Phani. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Nagendra Babu, describing him as someone who has guided him throughout his journey in cinema and encouraged him to make films with confidence.

Speaking about the film Veta, he said that, like Committee Kurrollu, it is rooted in a village setting and carries the kind of emotional quality that can connect strongly with audiences. “Director Ashok Kotipalli’s writing impressed me and that after hearing the story, I wanted to produce this film. It is not just a rural story, but a very commercial film with a natural village backdrop,” said Phani. He revealed that Sandeep Saroj will be seen in a completely different space, as a commercial hero with aggressive action and substantial action sequences.

Director Ashok Kotipalli, thanked KS Ravikumar for immediately accepting his story and expressed his gratitude to producer Phani Adapaka.

Apart from the lead pair Sandeep, Satwika, and KS Ravikumar, the film features Rajeev Kanakala, Raghu Babu, Ravindra Vijay, Prabhavathi, Pramodini and Vikas Vasishta in key roles. The technical team includes Wajid Baig as the cinematographer, Chaitan Bharadwaj is the music director and A Vijay is the action choreographer.
