Actor Sangeeth Shobhan, who was seen in the successful Mad, Mad Square and the recent Raakaasa, is on a new movie signing spree. Producer Sahu Garapati has announced a new film with the actor, which will be directed by debutant Pranay Rao.

Sahu Garapati is currently producing several projects under his Shine Screens banner. The upcoming films include the Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram-starrer January 12 Vidudala, directed by Anil Ravipudi, and a film with Sai Durgha Tej.

Archana will be presenting the Sahu Garapati-Sangeeth Shobhan film. This marks Shine Screens’ Production No. 15 and Sangeeth Shobhan’s fifth film as a lead actor.

The announcement was made on the occasion of Sangeeth Shobhan’s birthday on Wednesday. Pranay Rao has previously worked as an associate director on Saaho and contributed additional screenplay work to Mad and Mad Square.

Promising to be a first-of-its-kind attempt for Sangeeth Shobhan, the film is based on a script written by Pranay Rao specifically keeping the young actor’s strengths in mind. Billed as a mystery thriller with elements of comedy, the film is said to feature suspense, unexpected twists and entertaining moments, promising a proper theatrical experience.

The pre-production work is progressing at a brisk pace, and the makers are gearing up to commence the regular shoot soon. More details about the cast, crew and other aspects of the project are expected to be announced in the coming days.
