One of the most anticipated films in the coming days is the combination of Venkatesh, Kalyan Ram Nandamuri and director Anil Ravipudi. The film is produced by Sahu Garapati under his Shine Screens banner and presented by Suresh Productions, Archana and Zee Studios.
The project, which was previously referred to as VenkyAnil5, has been titled January 12 Vidudala. The makers announced the title through an entertaining video in Anil Ravipudi’s trademark style.
The title announcement video begins on a nostalgic note, paying tribute to legendary filmmaker EVV Satyanarayana with a hilarious reference to a popular comedy sequence from his film Appula Appa Rao. Anil Ravipudi has often spoken about his admiration for EVV, and the director has now showcased his love for the veteran filmmaker through this title announcement.
The video features Venkatesh, Kalyan Ram, Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty approaching Anil Ravipudi and asking him about the title of their film. Without any hesitation, the director replies, “January 12 Vidudala.” The actors are left confused and quickly clarify that they are asking for the title, not the release date. After the confusion, Anil Ravipudi finally reveals that January 12 Vidudala is indeed the official title of the film.
Adding to the excitement, the makers have also locked January 12, 2027, as the theatrical release date. With the title itself referring to the release date, the announcement has added a fun and unique touch to the film’s promotions.
The Sankranthi season has been a successful territory for Anil Ravipudi, who has consistently brought his films to the festive period and delivered strong commercial entertainers. With Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram coming together for the first time under his direction, January 12 Vidudala is expected to be one of the major attractions of the Sankranthi 2027 season.
The film also has a strong technical team. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music, while Sameer Reddy is handling the cinematography. Tammiraju is taking care of the editing, and renowned production designer AS Prakash is designing the visual world of the film.
