Producer Venu Donepudi is producing Baa Baa Black Sheep under his Chitralayam Studios banner. Directed by Guni Manchikanti, the film is a new-age crime comedy. The makers had earlier unveiled the teaser, and now popular music director Devi Sri Prasad has launched the song ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’. The makers have also announced that the film will hit the screens on October 9, coinciding with the Dasara festival.
An unexpected turn of events forms the core of Baa Baa Black Sheep. Blending crime, comedy, eccentric characters and a series of surprising situations, the film promises to offer a fresh and entertaining experience for audiences.
The cast includes Tinnu Anand, Upendra Limaye, George Maryan, Akshay Lagusani, Vishnu Oi, Karthikeya, Vismayasri, Malvi Malhotra, Kasyap, Raja Ravindra and others in prominent roles.
One of the interesting aspects of the film is that Baa Baa Black Sheep is the first South Indian film to be shot entirely in Meghalaya, according to the makers. The production team travelled across various parts of the state, capturing its spectacular landscapes and natural beauty, including the picturesque locations of Cherrapunji.
The makers have now announced that Baa Baa Black Sheep will have its grand theatrical release on October 9, during the Dasara festive season. The team also unveiled the first lyrical song, ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’, marking the beginning of the film’s musical promotions.
Devi Sri Prasad launched the song and appreciated its energetic and youthful vibe. He also congratulated the team for attempting a unique concept.
The song is a lively party number featuring Akshay Lagusani and Vishnu Oi. With vibrant visuals, energetic performances and a catchy rhythm, the song brings a celebratory mood to the film’s promotions. Electronic Kili and Arcado have composed the music, while Kittu Vissapragada has penned the lyrics. Benny Dayal’s energetic vocals add to the song’s appeal, complementing its peppy beats and youthful composition.
“We have successfully completed the shoot of Baa Baa Black Sheep, which revolves around a very interesting incident. The post-production activities are now nearing completion, and we are preparing for a grand theatrical release on October 9 during the Dussehra festive season,” said producer Venu Donepudi.
“Filming the entire movie in Meghalaya is a memorable achievement for our team. We explored several beautiful locations across the state, including Cherrapunji, and the experience has given the film a distinctive visual identity. With proper planning and the dedicated efforts of everyone involved, we completed the shoot within the planned schedule,” he added.
