Director Buchi Babu Sana graced the pre-release event of Kara, starring Dhanush and Mamitha Baiju, as a special guest. Though he arrived a bit late, he explained the reason during his speech.
“I am a big fan of Dhanush sir, and I came here just for him. I was shooting a song, and right after wrapping it up, I rushed to this event just to see him,” said Buchi Babu Sana.
He further shared that he often discussed about Dhanush with Vaishnav Tej while working on his debut film Uppena. “My favourite film is Raanjhanaa, and I also love Aadukalam, for which you won the National Award. AR Rahman sir has told me many times about your dedication and the way you work when I was in Chennai with him,” he added. Notably, AR Rahman is the music composer for Buchi Babu’s upcoming film Peddi, which stars Ram Charan.
Speaking about the title Kara, Buchi Babu shared his interpretation. He referred to the renowned literary figure Kaleepatnam Rama Rao, who hailed from Uttarandhra and dedicated his life and resources to people and literature. “His house eventually became a large library, and he was fondly known as ‘Kara Master’. So I feel the title Kara is very apt, and I’m happy about it,” he said.
During the event, fans enthusiastically demanded an update on Peddi. Initially hesitant, Buchi Babu eventually gave in to the cheers and made the announcement: “Peddi is all set to hit the screens on June 25.”
