Amid ongoing speculation about the progress of Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana’s ambitious project Peddi, the makers have now put all rumours to rest with an official update. The team has confirmed that the film’s shoot will be wrapped up in just six days. Marking the moment, Ram Charan and Buchi Babu Sana shared a cheerful selfie from the film's set.
The rural sports drama has been steadily building buzz with its promotional materials. The songs have struck a chord with audiences, while the glimpses have showcased two distinct shades of Ram Charan’s character, sparking curiosity among fans. A special glimpse released on the actor’s birthday further amplified expectations, hinting at a film that blends intensity with scale.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is being mounted on a grand canvas by producer Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas. Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings are presenting the film.
In their latest update, the makers stated that the remaining shoot will be completed over the next six days. At the same time, post-production work is progressing in parallel to ensure a smooth and timely release. The team is focused on delivering a polished final product without compromising on quality. The makers have also indicated that the film is on track for a theatrical release in June.
Adding to the excitement, the team unveiled a fresh set of on-location stills capturing the vibrant atmosphere on set. In these candid images, Ram Charan is seen alongside Buchi Babu Sana, both sharing relaxed and cheerful moments, reflecting the positive energy surrounding the production.
Ram Charan’s look in the film stands out. He appears in a rugged yet stylish avatar, sporting long hair, a thick beard, and sunglasses that lend a sharp edge to his persona. The look enhances his earthy appeal and hints at the intensity of the character he portrays.
The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and features a strong supporting cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani in key roles.
On the technical front, Peddi brings together top talent. Cinematography is handled by R Rathnavelu, music is composed by AR Rahman, editing is overseen by Navin Nooli, and production design is by Avinash Kolla.
