Director Krishna Chaitanya, known for films like Rowdy Fellow, Chal Mohan Ranga, and Gangs of Godavari, has teamed up with Sundeep Kishan for a new film titled Power Peta. The project was officially announced on Thursday. It is being produced by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under the 70MM Entertainments banner. Vijay Chilla has earlier backed films like Anando Brahma, Bhale Manchi Roju, Yatra, and Sridevi Soda Center.

This marks another ambitious venture for the production house. Sundeep Kishan, known for choosing meaningful and powerful scripts, celebrates 16 years in the film industry with this announcement. The film brings together a strong combination of storytelling and rooted narrative with director Krishna Chaitanya.

The title Power Peta itself is intriguing, and the announcement poster leaves a striking impression. Dark, gritty, and rich in symbolism, the poster features a blood-soaked chessboard — a classic metaphor for strategy, power, and sacrifice. The pieces appear broken, fallen, or standing in uneasy victory, while a crushed rose lies amid the chaos, stained by violence.

The visual sets the tone for the film’s core themes — love, honour, and politics — hinting at an intense narrative where emotions and power struggles collide, and every move comes at a cost.

Director Krishna Chaitanya has crafted a compelling story that blends multiple genres into a gripping narrative. Sundeep Kishan is expected to undergo a major transformation, stepping into what could be one of the most intense roles of his career.

On the technical front, the film boasts a strong team, with music by Mani Sharma and cinematography by Madhie. With a powerful title and an intriguing poster, Power Peta promises a gripping story where personal emotions intersect with larger power dynamics.
