Nikhil Siddhartha plays a warrior in the upcoming historical period drama Swayambhu, which is inspired by the Sengol — an ancient emblem that represents righteous governance, justice and moral authority. The film is directed by Bharath Krishnamachari and produced by Bhuvan and Shreekar under Pixel Studios. The makers have now announced that the first song, ‘Aajaa Dheerara’, will be unveiled on April 16.

Swayambhu is one of the most anticipated films of 2026. The recently released teaser introduced Nikhil as Krishnan Raman, one of the most formidable warriors. Packed with scale, intensity and a strong cinematic vision, the teaser featured thrilling action sequences, stunning visuals and a powerful background score. It created significant buzz among audiences, crossing 18 million views and still counting.

Adding to the excitement, the makers unveiled a new poster announcing the song release. The poster features Nikhil in a fierce warrior avatar, set against a dense jungle backdrop, aiming a spear with intensity.

Set against the grandeur of India’s golden age, the film promises a story rooted in culture, valor and tradition. At the heart of the narrative is the Sengol, symbolising legacy, justice and righteousness. Nikhil appears in a commanding new avatar, offering audiences a different side of him.

Directed by Bharath Krishnamachari, the film features music by Ravi Basrur of KGF and Salaar fame, with cinematography by KK Senthil Kumar, known for Baahubali and RRR. Shot over 170 days, Swayambhu stands as one of the most ambitious projects in recent times.

Produced by Bhuvan and Shreekar under Pixel Studios, the film is positioned as an epic tribute to India’s rich history and is slated for a worldwide release in Summer 2026.
