Pradeep Ranganathan began his career as a director before turning actor. His upcoming film Love Insurance Kompany is all set to hit the screens on April 17. The film is directed by Vignesh Shivan, while Krithi Shetty plays the female lead.

The team recently visited Hyderabad to promote the film, where producer Dil Raju and director Anil Ravipudi attended the event as chief guests.

During the event, Dil Raju suggested that Anil Ravipudi should become a lead actor, saying that he has the qualities of a hero. He cited Pradeep Ranganathan as an example and encouraged Anil to follow a similar path.

However, Anil politely turned down the suggestion. “I am happy where I am, and I want to continue as a director,” said Anil Ravipudi.

Anil is known for making brief cameo appearances in almost all of his films, much like Subhash Ghai used to do in his own movies. Perhaps with that in mind, Dil Raju urged him to take up a full-fledged acting role.

But Anil had a different idea. “I am very happy with my work as a director, and Dil Raju garu’s offer is good. But I will direct Pradeep Ranganathan as the hero if Dil Raju garu produces the film,” said Anil, drawing applause from the audience.

Anil also had high praise for Pradeep Ranganathan. “People have embraced Pradeep as one of their own. He is like the boy next door and looks completely natural in every role he plays. People call me a hit machine, but actually Pradeep is the real hit machine because he is delivering back-to-back blockbusters,” said Anil Ravipudi.

He further revealed that director Vignesh Shivan had shown him portions of Love Insurance Kompany while dubbing it into Telugu.

“When the film was being dubbed into Telugu, Vignesh wanted the dialogues to be perfect. So he called me and showed me a few scenes. I completely forgot about the dialogues because I was so immersed in watching the film,” said Anil.

He also praised SJ Suryah’s role in the film. “SJ Suryah sir’s character will definitely be loved by everyone. I am a big fan of him,” Anil added.
