The makers revealed that the story of Kanaka Durga is inspired by the Indian goddesses and blends devotion, action and emotion. Music is also expected to play a very important role in the film.

“The story of Kanaka Durga is closely connected to Telugu people because of its devotional and cultural backdrop. We are very happy to begin our journey with such a story, and we are fortunate to have strong partners like Applause Entertainment with us,” said BVS Ravi.

Meanwhile, director Pradeep Maddali said that the project is extremely close to his heart.“Kanaka Durga is very special to me, not only as a director but also because it reflects my deepest devotion towards the Goddess. This is not just a devotional film. It is the story of a man whose life is shattered and how his encounter with a powerful deity transforms him. We are making this film as a visual spectacle filled with strong emotions,” said Pradeep Maddali.
