The first look at Shamdat's sophomore directorial, Don't Sleep, has been unveiled by Vijay Sethupathi on social media. Shamdat, who has worked as a cinematographer on Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2 (2018), made his directorial debut with the Mammootty-starrer Street Lights (2018).

In Don't Sleep's first look, actor Indhira Raam's injured face is overlapped by a chase over a snow-capped mountains. The actor was previously seen in Chaurya Patham (2025). Shamdat also serves as a cinematographer, with story, screenplay, dialogues written by Sajeer Baba and Luna Jabin.

The cast of Don't Sleep also includes Ravindra Vijay, Taba Reema, Jyotee Bannerjee, Sunil Thapa, Aadukalam Naren, Kalpa Latha, Anish Kuruvilla, Vennela Kishore, Nagi Jabardhasth, Dr Bhadram, Raghubabu, Sajai Sebastian, Letha Das, Devi Sri Kaipa, Sujatha Rudrarapu, Kshitij, Vedieka Dutt, and Deva Katta.

Gokul Harshan is composing music for the film, with lyrics written by KK. The crew of Don't Sleep also includes Manoj as editor, Ramakrishna and Mounika as the production designers, Mahesh and Natraj as the stunt choreographers.

V Chudamani is producing Don't Sleep under his V Dream Films banner, with Sajna Shamdat serving as a co-producer.
