Several actors and producers from the Telugu Film Industry (TFI) met with the Hyderabad Police after the police arrested several persons associated with leaking Telugu films. The police met with the members of TFI on September 29.

According to Gulte, the police have been intensifying on crackdowns of these networks based on a complaint by ETV Win. The broadcaster filed the complaint after discovering the fact that several of their content were leaked by these groups.

Producer Dil Raju, actors Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Nani, Naga Chaithanya, were some of the TFI members that met with the police. The police then explained that films were leaked through two ways, by recording the films on camera at the theatres and by using the data from the digital distribution systems, by hacking them.

In July, the police arrested a man named Kiran, and learnt about a vast network of piracy operations.
