Mohan Babu, Bunny Vas, and Gopichand were amongst the Telugu Film Industry personnel who took to social media to condole the victims of the bus fire that happened at Kurnool district, Andhra Pradhesh, in the early hours of October 24.
Through his X handle, Mohan Babu wrote, "Absolutely heart-wrenching to hear about the bus tragedy on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru highway. So many lives lost in moments… Words fall short in times like this. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon, and may God give strength to all those in grief."
Bunny Vas, wrote an elaborate statement through his X handle, "After hearing about this tragic bus accident, I am unable to digest what those people must have gone through inside the bus when the fire and smoke started spreading. Knowing that an entire family, including small children, along with 19 others, lost their lives in this incident is deeply painful." He added, "As a frequent bus traveler between my hometown & Hyderabad, I often think about the design of these buses - especially the ones with fully closed glass windows. In such situations, escaping becomes extremely difficult, particularly for passengers seated at the back."
He also went on highlight the layout of a sleeper bus and the lack of proper, user friendly infrastructure for emergencies.
He concluded his note with, "My sincere suggestion to the Transport Department, Telangana, and Transport Department, Andhra Pradesh is to make it mandatory that at least 50% of the bus windows can be opened manually by passengers. Otherwise, in future accidents, escape will still be very difficult. Sincere request to Telangana Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar garu and AP Minister for Transport Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy garu to take strict action."
Meanwhile Gopichand wrote, "The tragic news of the bus accident in Kurnool is truly heartbreaking. My thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time. Praying for the injured to get well soon."
