On Thursday, we had reported about Suresh Productions Mini announcing the premiere date for their upcoming OTT series Anandalahari, which will stream on Aha from October 17 onwards. On Friday, the team released the official trailer for their series.

Featuring Abhishek Boddepalli and Bramarambika as the lead pair, Anandalahiri promises be a quirky and light-hearted romantic comedy built around its titular protagonists who get married to each other in a highly unlikely arranged marriage setup. However, the two families who belong to Godavari east and meet, eventually find themselves at loggerheads as a clash of values, belief system and ambitions becomes a barrier between Ananda and Lahiri.

While Anand is more conservative and reserved in his values, Lahiri is a young ambitious girl with an urban perspective who increasingly feels stifled in her new life as a married woman. All of these conflicts, however, are promisingly treated with a comic tone as the couple eventually learns to embrace each other despite their differences.

Anandalahari promises to be a light-hearted entertainer, with ample dose of humour, sentimentality as well as a charming portrayal of small-town life. The series is written and directed by debutant Sai Vanapalli who has previously made a few short films.

Abhishek Boddepalli made his film debut last year with the indie prison drama Aarambham. Meanwhile, Bramarambika has worked in films like 1980 Lo Radhekrishna, Seetharam Sitralu, and Mukhachitram. 

The supporting cast of Anandalahari features Swaraj, Anvitha, Gayathri Bhargavi, Arun Dev, Lakshmi, Sri Kumari, Krishna, Revathi Natha, Sravani Kota, and Amrutha. Anandalahari is produced by Praveen Dharmapuri. The editing is co-helmed by Harish Kumar Adapaka and Michael D Selva. Joy Solomon is the music director. Ashoka Dabbeeru and Shyam Raghumajji are the cinematographers.
