Nagarjuna’s 100th film has officially begun! Unlike the fanfare that usually surrounds such launch events, Nagarjuna opted for a modest start. The film’s pooja ceremony was held at Annapurna Studios on Monday. Only Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna have crossed the 100-film mark before Nagarjuna, making this milestone significant for the star.

The film, tentatively titled #King100, is directed by Ra Karthik, the Tamil filmmaker known for Nitham Oru Vaanam. True to his long standing tradition of backing new talent, Nagarjuna is producing the film under his own banner, Manam Enterprises. Early reports suggest it’s a full-fledged action entertainer with emotional depth, featuring three leading ladies and music by Devi Sri Prasad.

Interestingly, the project is reported to be inspired by the Tamil hit Ayothi, a choice that comes with both intrigue and risk, given the mixed fate of recent remakes. Fans, meanwhile, are hopeful this marks a strong comeback.

Nagarjuna’s recent outings were memorable as he took up character roles like Deepak in Kuberaa and Simon in Coolie reminding audiences of his range. The new film is reportedly titled Lottery King in its working version.
