Aadi Sai Kumar has been trying hard for years, but a proper break has continued to elude him. Despite experimenting with different genres, none of his films delivered the success he has been waiting for. He was last seen in Shanmukha, where he shared screen with Avika Got.
Now, Aadi is coming up with Shambhala, a fantasy–supernatural thriller directed by Ugandhar Muni, and he is placing strong hopes on this project. The film is set to release on December 25. According to a source, the film’s OTT rights have already been sold for a good price. Aha has acquired the digital streaming rights, while Zee has secured the satellite rights. The Hindi dubbing rights were also sold for a notable amount, further adding to the film’s pre-release business.
“In recent times, distributors from Andhra have been enquiring about Aadi's Shambhala as they liked the trailer. This is a good sign for the film,” said a source close to the unit. For the Nizam region, the makers are in talks with major distributors, including Mythri Movie Distributors, for the release. Made on a budget of Rs 8.5 crore, the film has already brought profits to the producers through its digital, satellite, and theatrical rights, the source added.
“After watching the film, the OTT platform immediately bought the rights, which is a big positive sign,” another source revealed.
With such positive early signs, Shambhala might finally give Aadi the break he has been waiting for. The trailers and promotional videos have generated strong interest, and music director Sricharan Pakala is said to have delivered his best.
The film features an ensemble cast including Archana Iyer, Swastika, Madhunandan, Ravi Varma, Shiju Menon, Harsha Vardhan, and many others.
