Actors turning singers is a familiar trend in Telugu cinema. Stars like Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu, Ravi Teja, Vijay Deverakonda, Manchu Manoj, and Nithiin have all lent their voices to their films. Now, Naveen Polishetty joins this league as he turns playback singer for the first time for his upcoming film Anaganaga Oka Raju.

Naveen began the film’s promotions long ago, releasing updates intermittently. The song, titled ‘Bhimavaram Balma’, is coming out on November 27.  On Tuesday, the makers unveiled a quirky video promo featuring Naveen and singer Sameera Bharadwaj discussing the track. Produced by S Naga Vamsi, the movie has music composed by Mickey J. Meyer. With Naveen’s reputation as an entertainer, his debut as a playback singer is expected to generate strong interest.

Directed by Maari, the film features Meenaakshi Chaudhary as the female lead.  This film also marks Naveen Polishetty’s return after a three-year gap, with his last release being Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty in 2023.

Anaganaga Oka Raju is set to release on January 14, 2026, aiming to cash in on the Sankranthi festive season. The comedy entertainer will also face stiff competition during Sankranthi, going up against major releases such as Prabhas’ The Raja Saab and Chiranjeevi–Anil Ravipudi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu.
