On Sunday morning, the makers of Naga Chaitanya starrer NC24 gave a special surprise to the actor’s fans by announcing the official title of their film on his birthday. NC24 is now Vrushakarma.

The makers also unveiled a new Naga Chaitanya poster on the occasion, where the actor can be seen standing against an intensely lit ancestral mansion that is almost in ruins, holding a weapon, gazing right into the camera. Billed as a mythological thriller with a touch of fantasy, the film is directed by Virupaksha fame Karthik Danda.

The film’s lead cast also includes Meenaakshi Chaudhary and Sparsh Shrivastava, who will make his Telugu debut with this film. A few weeks ago, the Vrushakarma makers had unveiled Meenaakshi’s poster, introducing her as Daksha. This is the first time Naga Chaitanya and Meenaakshi Chaudhary will be sharing screenspace.

The film is jointly produced by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar under the banners Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra LLP and Sukumar Writings. Sukumar is also credited with the screenplay. Vrushakarma features music by Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematography by Ragul Dharuman, production design by Sri Nagendra Tangala, and editing by Navin Nooli.

A few days ago, the makers had released a special BTS video from their film. A release plan for Vrushakarma is yet to be announced.
