The other day, we reported about the title launch event of SS Rajamouli's next film starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role. The film's makers launched the title, Varanasi, at a grand event in Hyderabad on Saturday. The event saw a delayed release of the film's glimpse due to technical glitches. Back then, an upset Rajamouli spoke about his lack of belief in the almighty, drawing flak from netizens. Subsequently, the filmmaker took to his Instagram Stories the other day to express his gratitude to the large number of fans who showed up at the event. "My sincere thanks to all the Mahesh fans who travelled such long distances for the Varanasi Globetrotter event and walked close to 3 kilometres in the cold. And still, even with the glitches on our side, your patience never wavered. I have to say this, you're as disciplined as your idol."

The other day, SS Rajamouli said, "Mahesh never checks his phone while working. He leaves it in the car, shoots for eight or ten hours, and only checks it after pack-up. We all should learn that from him."

The Eega and Baahubali filmmaker also thanked "every Telugu Cinema audience who stood by us on ground." Set in 512 CE, Varanasi stars Mahesh Babu in the role of Rudhra. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the antagonist in the film, which also stars Priyanka Chopra in the female lead. The film is billed as Rajamouli's most ambitious project yet.
