Raju Weds Rambai trailer: A young girl finds herself torn between two controlling men

A few days ago, we had reported about ETV Win announcing their next project in the wake of Little Hearts’ success, titled Raju Weds Rambai. On Thursday, the official trailer of the film was unveiled. The film produced by Venu Udugula and Rahul Mopidevi, will have its theatrical release on November 21.

Featuring debutants Akhil Uddemari and Tejaswi Rao in the lead roles, Raju Weds Rambai trailer begins on a warm, joyful note capturing the blossoming romance between its two protagonist — a band musician named Raju and a simple village girl named Rambai. After capturing sweet moments of their early romance, the trailer taking a shocking turn as we see Raju turn into an aggressive, controlling partner, even resorting to physical violence to keep Rambai in check. On the other hand, Rambai is also suffering under the shadow of her oppressive father who controls every movement in her life. 

The trailer is intense, and incorporates some unsettling visuals and dialogues, while maintaining an intrigue about its perspective and lensing. During the first look launch event, the makers had informed that their film is based on a true story that occurred around 15 years ago.

The ensemble cast of Raju Weds Rambai includes Shivaji Raja, Siddu Jonnalagadda’s brother Chaitu Jonnalagadda, Anitha Chowdary and Kavitha Srirangam.

Raju Weds Rambai is written and directed by Saailu Kaampati, and bankrolled under the banners of Dolamukhi Subaltern Films and Monsoon Tales. Suresh Bobbili is the music director for the film. In the technical team, Wajid Baid helms the cinematography and Naresh Adupa is the editor. Art direction is by Gandhi Nadikudikar.

Going for a theatrical release, the film will clash at the box office against Priyadarshi-Anandhi starrer Premante!
