The presenter of Ram Charan's upcoming film Peddi, Mythri Movie Makers dropped a promo for the film's first single 'Chikiri Chikiri' earlier today. The promo for the Buchi Babu Sana directorial has been released in multiple languages other than Telugu. Interestingly, the film's Tamil title reads Pethi instead of Peddi, even as the English version in the same Tamil promo video has the original title's spelling. In Tamil, the word 'Pethi' does not have any meaning. On the other hand, the Telugu title means big, such as someone elder or respectful. It is still not sure whether this is a mistake from the film's makers or whether Pethi is indeed the film's Tamil title.
The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor in the female lead. The cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu, among others. Mythri Movie Makers is presenting the film alongside Sukumar Writings, whereas Venkata Satish Kilaru of Vriddhi Cinemas is producing it with Ishan Saksena.
On the technical front, the film has music by AR Rahman, cinematography by Ratnavelu, editing by Navin Nooli, and production design by Avinash Kolla. Embattled choreographer Jani Master is also part of the film, which is slated for a March 27, 2026, release in theatres. Meanwhile, the first song from the film is set to release this Friday.
