Renowned filmmaker Gunasekhar is continuing to develop his new film, which is titled Euphoria. On Wednesday, the makers announced a major casting update for their film. Popular director-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon has now joined the film’s primary cast.
Gunasekhar shared the said update on his X page, adding the caption, ‘Introducing the versatile Gautham Menon as dynamic Jayadev Nair. Catch him bringing layers of intrigue and depth to this key role.’ Gautham was recently seen in the Tamil film Dragon.
Euphoria will also mark the return to Telugu cinema for Bhumika Chawla, who has worked in many iconic Telugu films in the early 2000s, like Kushi, Naa Autograph and Missamma. The film also stars Ponniyin Selvan fame Sara Arjun, Nassar, Rohith, Aadarsh Balakrishna and Likith Naidu, among many others in the ensemble cast.
Produced by Neelima Guna, Euphoria promises to be a youth-centric social drama thriller, capturing the issues plaguing the present generation. Gunasekhar has also penned the story and screenplay for the film.
Kaala Bhairava is composing music for the film. A few days ago, the first song of the film, titled ‘Fly High’, was released at a grand ceremony.
A release date for Euphoria is yet to be announced.
