Ustaad Bhagat Singh to resume shoot from June; Makers drop update

Pawan Kalyan is set to start filming after he finishes his shoot on Sujeeth’s OG

The makers of Ustaad Bhagat Singh dropped a major update on Thursday. The shoot of the film, starring Pawan Kalyan, is set to resume soon, with shooting scheduled to begin in June. The announcement comes after the actor-politician completed filming for Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which is slated for release on June 12, and resumed work on OG, directed by Sujeeth.

A new poster was unveiled with the caption “A fan boy feast for all the fans and movie lovers, shoot begins soon,” showing the director Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan hands held together to mark the project’s revival.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Ustaad Bhagat Singh features Pawan Kalyan in the role of a police officer. The film initially started as a remake of Vijay starrer Theri but Harish Shankar confirmed that the film will not be a remake, but an original script rewritten during the production pause. 

The project had earlier been delayed due to Kalyan’s political commitments. The film stars Sreeleela as the female lead, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are producing the film under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. Harish Shankar previously helmed Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh which became a huge blockbuster and fans of the actor are eagerly waiting for the combo to deliver again.
