Reports suggest that director Mani Ratnam and actor Naveen Polishetty may collaborate for an upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film. Many media outlets and industry insiders indicate the project, if materialised, will be a light-hearted romantic drama, marking a potential first-time collaboration between the veteran filmmaker and the young actor.

While no official confirmation has been issued, speculation around the project has gained momentum online, with fans expressing interest in the unusual pairing. If the collaboration is finalised, it could mark a notable milestone in Naveen Polishetty’s career. Known for his roles in Chhichhore, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, and Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, the actor has received praise for his comic timing and screen presence.

Details about the film’s producer, cast, and shooting schedule are yet to be revealed. The identity of the remaining lead and supporting cast is also under speculation, with further announcements expected in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Mani Ratnam is currently awaiting the release of Thug Life, his upcoming film starring Kamal Haasan. The project also features Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Sanya Malhotra, Joju George, Pankaj Tripathi, and Ali Fazal and is slated to release worldwide on June 5.
