Bellamkonda Sreenivas booked for traffic violation in Jubilee Hills

A case has been  filed against actor for rash driving and obstructing a traffic constable, police is said to have seized his car

Bellamkonda Sreenivas has been booked by the Jubilee Hills police in Hyderabad for alleged rash driving and obstructing a public servant. The incident took place on May 13 at the Journalists' Colony junction on Road Number 45, when Srinivas reportedly attempted to take a prohibited U-turn.

According to Jubilee Hills Traffic Inspector A. Praveen Kumar, Constable Naresh, who was on duty, stopped the actor and instructed him to take the correct route. Sreenivas allegedly refused and attempted to continue on the wrong side, reportedly driving towards the constable in a rash manner.

Following the constable’s complaint, a case was registered against the actor for negligent driving and for preventing a public servant from discharging his duty. The police served Sreenivas a notice and seized his vehicle on 15 May. A video of the incident has since circulated on social media.

The actor, who made his debut with Alludu Seenu in 2014, has also appeared in Jaya Janaki Nayaka, Sita, and Speedunnodu. He is the son of veteran producer Bellamkonda Suresh. On the professional front, his upcoming film Bhairavam is slated for release on May 30. He is also working on Haindava and Kishkindhapuri.
