Kingdom, Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film with Gautam Tinnanuri, was scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 30. However, rumours are abuzz that the makers are planning to postpone the film’s release.

According to many media reports, the Kingdom team is now looking for a July release. Reportedly, the film is being postponed to avoid a box office clash against the much-delayed Pawan Kalyan-starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which too might release around the 1st week of June. As of now, Chiranjeevi starrer Vishwambhara and Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara are the only major Telugu films slated to release in July.

Also starring Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead, Kingdom marks Vijay Deverakonda’s first collaboration with producer S Naga Vamsi, who is producing this film in association with Sai Soujanya. Anirudh is the music composer for the film. The first single of the film titled ‘Hridayam Lopala’, which was released 10 days ago, has garnered over 8 million YouTube hits so far.

Vijay Deverakonda hasn’t had a release in more than a year now — his last film, The Family Star, was a commercial failure.
