At the recent RRR live concert held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, Jr NTR shared insights about the significance of the globally recognised ‘Naatu Naatu’, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2023.

Appearing alongside co-star Ram Charan and director SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR spoke about the song’s impact and its emotional value. He described ‘Naatu Naatu’ as a tribute to two legendary Telugu actors known for their dancing, Ram Charan’s father Chiranjeevi and his own uncle Balakrishna. “His father was one of the greatest dancers, and my uncle was also a very good dancer. This song is a memory of what it would be like if they danced together,” Jr NTR said during the event.

He added that beyond the accolades, the most meaningful aspect of the song was sharing the screen with Ram Charan, calling him a ‘fabulous dancer’ and friend. The concert featured composer MM Keeravani performing the score with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Fans cheered as the RRR team celebrated the film’s global success.

Jr NTR is currently working on his next film, NTRNeel, directed by Prashanth Neel, which is expected to be a large-scale action project. The film is reportedly titled Dragon.
