Vijay Deverakonda, who is gearing up for his next release, the Gautam Tinnanuri-directorial Kingdom, turns 36 today. On the occasion, eminent producer Naga Vamsi penned a heartfelt note for the actor.

Taking to his X page, Naga Vamsi posted, “Before our first meeting, Gowtam and I used to wonder how we’d make a film with a hero with such a strong attitude. But after meeting you, all those thoughts changed.” The Tillu Square producer added, “You're one of the most soft-spoken and humble people… so different from the person the world sees on stage with a mic,” also describing him as ‘one of the most misunderstood people in the industry.’

It is to be noted that Kingdom marks the first collaboration between Vijay and Vaga Vamsi. Vijay Deverakonda’s previous film, The Family Man, released in April last year.

Kingdom, meanwhile, is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 30. The film is produced under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
