Ram Pothineni, who last headlined the action entertainer Double iSmart, is working with Mythri Movie Makers for his next project, tentatively titled RAPO22. The official title glimpse of the film will be unveiled on May 15, the makers announced on Thursday, which also marks Ram’s birthday. 

The makers also shared a few BTS stills from the sets of the movie, where Ram Pothineni alongwith his co-star Rahul Ramakrishna, can be seen discussing scenes with their director. Rapo22 is directed by Mahesh Babu P, who previously directed the 2023 rom-com Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty. Mahesh Babu has also penned the story and screenplay for his film. 

RAPO22 also stars Bhagyashri Borse in the lead cast. While Ram will be seen as Sagar, while Bhagyashri Borse essays the role of Mahalaxmi. The supporting cast also includes Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, and VTV Ganesh.

Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are producing the film, marking their first collaboration with Ram Pothineni. The technical team includes Avinash Kolla as the production designer and Sreekar Prasad as the editor. Siddharth Nuni is the cinematographer, while Vivek-Mervin have been signed to compose music for the film.
