Ashish, who is the nephew of producer Dil Raju made his acting debut with Rowdy Boys, is set to headline his third feature film titled DeThadi. The film marks the 60th production of Sri Venkateswara Creations, headed by producers Dil Raju and Shirish. Aditya Rao Gangasani, who is a singer, makes his directorial debut with this project.

Unveiled on Ashish’s birthday, the first look poster presents the actor as a Hyderabadi street drummer. With a drum slung over his shoulder and a stick between his teeth, Ashish is seen in mid-performance, surrounded by a celebratory crowd. The poster hints at a high-energy narrative set rooted in the cultural backdrop of Hyderabad.

DeThadi is billed as a culturally grounded drama, blending emotional depth with regional flavour. The story reportedly explores social themes rarely depicted in Indian cinema, with dialogues written in Hyderabadi slang. The film is set to explore a musical community and a youngster with a dream.

The film’s music, said to be a major component of the narrative, is expected to feature an experimental soundscape. Backed by Rutham Story Lab and presented by Smt Anitha, filming for DeThadi is scheduled to begin shortly. Further cast and crew details are yet to be announced.
